Imperial Legion banner seen in Morrowind
The Imperial Legion, also known as the Imperial Army and the Ruby Ranks, is the main fighting force of the Empire of Tamriel. It is often pluralized as the Imperial Legions. It operates under the auspices and authority of the Emperor himself. With its vast numbers, quality training, and rigid discipline, the Legion is considered one of the best armies ever assembled in history. The primary mission of the Imperial Legion is to preserve the peace and rule of law in the Empire. Those who protect the Emperor and the Imperial Province are sometimes called the Imperial Guard and the Imperial Watch. A Legion Centurion is typically in command of the Palace Guard of the White Gold Tower.
In peacetime the Legion serves primarily as a garrison force — manning forts, patrolling roads, and providing guardsmen for towns, cities, counties, and nobles. They are empowered to arrest criminals and seize their property, among other things. In wartime, the Legion's responsibilities and powers are greatly increased. During conflicts, the Legion serves as an invading and occupying force, overwhelming opposition with numerical superiority and strict economy of force. For more information, see the lore article.
- 4Imperial Legion Quests
The Legion is a strictly hierarchic organization. Each fort is usually commanded by a Champion (smaller forts), or any higher-ranking Knight (larger ones). The commander of a fort is usually called 'captain' or 'General'. Only Knights may serve as generals. A Knight of the Imperial Dragon is the highest-ranking Legion officer in any District.
Skyrim Imperial Legion Mods
A special Legion platoon comprises the guard of any Duke in the province of Morrowind, the Duke of Vvardenfell, for instance. These soldiers are among the best the Legion has to offer; the most accomplished soldiers of the Duke's guard have the honor of serving as personal Palace guard to the King of Morrowind.
Joining the Imperial Legion[edit]
There is only one person in the Imperial Legion to whom you can speak for admission -- General Darius, who can be found in the Madach Tradehouse in Gnisis. Fort Darius is the only fort in the Imperial Legion that is admitting new members at this time in Vvardenfell.
Expulsion[edit]
If you make an infraction of the rules, you will be expelled from the Imperial Legion. Speak to any quest giver for the Imperial Legion, whereupon they will tell you what is going on: 'Your activities have led some to question your allegiance. At the moment there is some debate as to your continued affiliation with the Imperial Legion. Would you care to explain yourself, %PCRank %PCName? This had better be good.' Saying you were a victim of circumstance will yield a fifteen-point disposition increase and readmission into the Imperial Legion: 'The Imperial Legion can forgive your actions this one time only, %PCRank %PCName. Your record will be permanently marred by this incident. Now return to your post.' On the other hand, bluntly stating that you don't care will produce a five-point disposition decrease and an in kind response: 'I see.' This will end the conversation. Following a second infraction of the rules you will be permanently expelled. Discussing the matter of joining the Imperial Legion causes a thirty-point disposition loss and an expression of disgust: 'You had your chance and you blew it. Get out of my sight.' This will end the conversation.

Imperial Legion Quests[edit]
Command and conquer generals zero hour. In order to receive any of your quest orders you must be wearing a uniform Imperial Legion cuirass. When you first join the legion, you are given an Imperial Chain Cuirass which satisfies this requirement. The four other cuirasses that you receive from the legion as your rank increases are also acceptable (Imperial Steel Cuirass, Imperial Templar Knight Cuirass, Duke's Guard Silver Cuirass and the unique Lord's Mail). Your armor other than your cuirass can be of any style. Talking to a superior officer while out of uniform results in a disposition loss of five points and a refusal of the character to continue the conversation; however you do not need to wear your uniform to talk to characters of equal or lower rank, with the exception of Cavortius Albuttian, the Knight of the Garland. If you lose your Imperial cuirass, the article on Imperial Armor provides a list of locations where replacements can be found.

Hello everyone and welcome to this week's discussion thread!
First a quick recap of how this works and what we expect:
- Be respectful. These discussions will open the floor to a lot of different opinions of what is fun/good/necessary/etc. Debate those conflicts of interest with respect and maturity.
- Please keep the mods listed as relevant to the topic is possible. Some topics are a bit broad and people can go about them in pretty creative ways, but try to use common sense.
- Please provide a link to the mod, and a brief description of what it does, why it fits the list, what the benefits/drawbacks are.
TOPIC
Imperials
Only two races left to go! This week we'll discuss those milk-drinkers from Cyrodiil. Ya know..I used to side with the Stormcloaks. Sure they're racist as hell but it was the whole 'lesser of two evils' thing. Then I read an interesting comment outlining how the Imperials are simply playing along with the Thalmor while they rebuild their army and Ulfric is just playing into the hands of the Thalmor by giving them a reason to come to Skyrim and destabilize the Snow Tower..so..tinfoil activate..ANYWAYS let's talk about mods used to improve playing as an Imperial!
Mandatory mention of
- Imperious - Races of Skyrim by EnaiSiaion
and
- Disparity by kryptopyr
These are the two 'go-to' race overhauls for Skyrim
(compatible with a patch provided in the Imperious optional files if you wish to use both)

What mods do you use to improve playing as a Cyrodiilic militant?

Which side did you guys choose, if any, and why? it's been hard for me to choose as the stormcloaks seem kind of like racist pricks but the imperials seem like power hungry, callous backstabbers (and they try to kill you in the very beginning of the game). if i was a nord i'd probably choose stormcloak, but if i was a dark elf i'd probably choose imperial because the stormcloaks hate dark elves, like a lot.
however, i'm argonian and i just feel weird because nobody really seems to really like me but nobody really hates me either (hey, kind of like real life).
so in short, both sides suck and i'm gonna wait it out. what are your guys thoughts so far?

I mean, their symbol is on the game’s cover. Of course you want to join.
With Skyrim out on Switch and PlayStation VR now, it’s a good time to revisit the different factions available to you in the game.
The Imperial Legion is a part of the armed forces of the world of Skyrim that’s led by General Tullius. Some in Skyrim might have secession on their minds, but the Imperial Legion are quite against that. If you are too, you can join them.
One of the first things that can happen in Skyrim is that a friendly character can suggest you join the Imperial Legion, but it’s also quite easy to miss this recommendation and skip out on joining them entirely. Here’s how to find the necessary people and how to join the legion if you miss that early-game pointer. Temple run 2 frozen shadows game free download.

How to join the Imperial Legion
- In order to join the legion you’ll want to head to one of their outposts, Castle Dour. Castle Dour is found in Solitude, which is found in the Northwest of Skyrim. This is their main base. You’ll know the castle when you see it, as it’s guarded by imperial soldiers.
- Once you arrive at the castle you’ll want to find General Tullius, the boss of the Imperial Legion. Speak to him.
- Tullius will now point you to chat to Legate Rikke. Engaging in this chat will then kick off your the quest line to join the legion with the appropriately-named quest Joining the Legion. How about that?
- All you now have to do is follow the quest given for Joining the Legion. It’s pretty simple – you have to head to a fort and clear out a bunch of bandits. Go and do that.
- Once the fort is cleared out and the bandits killed, head back to Rikke. You’ll then be directed to go and take the oath to join the legion proper. Once you’ve taken the oath, you’ll then be told to visit the blacksmith – do, and you’ll be rewarded the legion’s armor.
- With that, you’re in! You now have access to the legion’s quest line. Keep in mind that the Imperial Legion is directly in opposition with the Stormcloaks, so joining one will lock you out of the other. All related achievements can be unlocked with either of the factions, however. At one point both sides will seek out The Jagged Crown in a quest titled the same. At this point you can switch sides if you’re so inclined – grab the crown and return it to your faction of choice. This choice is final.
